Wendy’s sells more Chicken Nuggets than everyone else, except McDonald’s. So, we knew a lot of people loved our Chicken Nuggets, they just weren’t talking about them. And when they did, McNugget fans were quick to drown them out.
We wanted to start a new discussion on social media that would give our Chicken Nuggets the moment in the spotlight they deserved. To do this, we created a lovable conversation starter that would appeal to people’s appetites and existing behaviours, starting with their favourite one: sitting around and doing nothing.
The Nuggie was silly and light-hearted by design to ensure the conversations surrounding it would be as well. Its breaded exterior and all-white fleece interior highlighted the things that made our Chicken Nuggets great in a new light. The quick order QR code made it even easier for people to order them. And the insulated pocket ensured that our Chicken Nuggets would be the centre of attention in all the content created.
